PEDAGOGIC PROGRAM

The first year is done on our Parisian campus at La Défense. It focuses on the acquisition of fundamental academic knowledge , starting with the psychoanalytic approach, the introduction to psychology in business as well as psychometric tests.

Almost half of the courses are in English, allowing you to have the lexical bases to continue your psychology studies in English in the following years.

During the year, students are required to get involved in an associative project with associations aimed at a vulnerable public. This will be an opportunity for you to be confronted with the suffering of others and to engage in a project that has meaning beyond the educational aspect. It is also an opportunity to learn how to evolve in a professional environment and its constraints. In the second semester, you spend one day per week as a volunteer. This experience will give rise to work in class on both your positioning in the institution and especially on the psychological problems encountered and your feelings.

It is also possible to do an internship of 1 to 3 months after the end of the courses.

Student visas may be required depending on the country. ESPÉ will assist you with the procedures that remain the responsibility of the student.

Partner universities can offer accommodation solutions which are the responsibility of the student.

The second year is spent at the University of Portsmouth where students join the University's second year Bachelor classes on the same basis as university students.

The University of Portsmouth offers half-board and full-board accommodation services. These services are charged separately.

Registration for this second year is subject to both:

- the decision of the first year jury validating that the student has the sufficient academic and English level to follow the courses in England

- obtaining a student visa from the English administration (costs payable by the student).

Admission Requirements

Our Bachelor programs are accessible to holders of a French baccalaureate or bac +2, but also to foreign students.

Parallel admissions are possible in the 2nd and 3rd years on the condition of being able to justify the baccalaureate and a license 1 or 2 (depending on the year of admission concerned) in psychology before integration into the school (Bachelor of Science 1 or 2 for foreign universities).

Process selection

Applications are made off ParcourSup on the dedicated ESPÉ platform.

For integration in the 1st year, an the first selection is made on file with regard to a cover letter explaining your application, grades from the 11th to 13th year and comments from the teachers.

For a parallel admission to the 2nd or 3rd year of the Bachelor, an initial selection is made on the basis of a letter of motivation explaining your application, a CV as well as grades for the baccalaureate and license/bachelor in psychology (first semester of L1 to integrate ESPÉ in 2nd year, L1 grades and first semester of L2 to integrate the ESPE in 3rd year).

Candidates admitted to the oral will be interviewed by a jury including at least one psychologist.
