Jobs after a licence or a Bachelor in psychology

At the end of your Bachelor's degree in psychology, if you choose to join the job market, you will have many professional opportunities and will choose, for example, careers in social intervention or animation, human resources management, careers in professional integration/reintegration or medical-psychological assistance. For example:

  • Early childhood facilitator

  • Medical-psychological assistance

  • Social and family intervention technician

  • Educational and social companion - AES

  • Human Resources Assistant

  • Recruitment Assistant

  • Social worker

  • Mental Health Project Manager

  • Career counselor

  • Specialized educator

  • Neuropsychology Technician

A certain number of these professions are accessible through competitive examinations, which provide access to training in an institute or higher education establishment and lead to the award of a State Diploma (DEA, DEI, DEE, etc.).

Jobs after ta Master or a Master of Science in psychology

According to employers, some of these positions require access to the title of psychologist. The title of psychologist is governed by the law of July 25, 1985 (decree of March 22, 1990) and reserved for graduates who have completed a 5-year university or School of Practical Psychologists training, validated by the State.

 

The Psychiatrist or child psychiatrist is a doctor who has specialized in psychiatry. As such, he can prescribe medication, but also provide therapy. These positions are not accessible after studying psychology.

 

To obtain the title of psychotherapist, psychologists must be able to prove 500 hours of clinical training.
